The opening game of the NFL season was painted in unexpected colors as several demonstrators ran onto the field with smoke bombs and enveloped the field in a pink cloud.

The incident occurred midway through the fourth quarter. The spectators saw only one smoke bomb in the scoring area, but the spectators in the stands witnessed the entire scene. Naturally, the people who ran onto the field were quickly detained.

At the same time, the activist group Direct Action Everywhere claimed responsibility for the incident. The women who ran onto the field were identified as Emek Echo and Katya Shokrai. They were wearing T-shirts labeled RightToRescue.com.
