Respect to the New York Jets.

Since the beginning of the Russo-Ukrainian war, the NFL has been paying attention to our struggle for independence. Neither the league nor the teams made any applications or actions (including public ones) to support Ukraine. On December 6, this unpleasant fact finally changed.

The New York Jets became the pioneers. The team announced that they would hide one million dollars for Ukrainian support. This money will be used to purchase critically needed medications and medical equipment. One million donations will be divided into ten parts of 100 thousand each. These units will be received by various organizations that provide aid to Ukrainians. The first 100 thousand was already received by the “Plast” scouting organization.

Moreover, the Jets organized a collection of drugs and medicines among employees of the franchise. When the collection is completed, the team will match the collected aid and take it to the appropriate agencies.

In fact, it’s not surprising that the Jets were the first to come forward and help out. The girlfriend of franchise owner Woody Johnson, Suzanne, is a daughter of Ukrainian immigrants and grew up in the Ukrainian neighborhood of New York. She was the main initiator of aid to Ukraine.

Commenting on the franchise’s decision, Suzanne said:

“There are a lot of people suffering in Ukraine today. That is why it is very important for us to give help to the organizations which really help people. I want to do my part and pay attention, because this problem will not go away. Ukrainians will need money for help and for their own long-term housing. That is why I hope that we will be able to start doing something. The world has been pretty generous and I expect it to stay that way.

The Jets’ decision has caused more than one scramble among NFL fans. A lot of people wrote that this was one of the Jets’ big wins (rare Jets W). And what’s more, those non-baggy clowns who want to comment with the standard “what about Palestine, Yemen, Somalis, present the name of any Arab or African country in the state of civil war” have a good argument and explain it quickly, They are cowards and it is not possible to compare the situations in these countries with a full-scale invasion by the army of a neighboring country with clear signs of genocide.
